Whispers of His Power – FEBRUARY 19
Luke 6.45 (RV): The disciple is not above his master: but everyone when he is perfected shall be as his master.
Luke 6.35 (RV margin): But love your enemies, and do them good, and lend, despairing of no man.
Everyone when he is perfected shall be as his Master. We look at that assurance and then we think of ourselves and wonder how it can possibly be true for us. Then we look back and find that earlier in the same chapter our Lord told His disciples to despair of no man. He would not have told them that if He Himself could ever despair of anyone.
He will not despair even of us – even of me. This we also pray for, even your perfecting (2 Cor. 13.9 RV).
oooOOOooo
