Whispers of His Power – FEBRUARY 25
Acts 26.32: Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
It is a mistake to talk much or think much about one’s temptations. Paul was human, so he must have been tempted when he heard that he could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar. But never once does he refer to that private temptation.
To talk about one’s temptations is to emphasize them. The better way is to look up from them to our Lord, who can and does give us victory over them.
Because he did this, Paul had ‘a heart at leisure from itself’ to help others – to help us.
