Whispers of His Power – MARCH 11
Matt. 7.9: What man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Matt. 7.11: If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?
Ps. 114.7-8: The God of Jacob; which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
Often our prayers are not answered according to our desires. Our Lord said that no loving Father would give his child a stone when he asked for bread, but sometimes what we are given looks like a stone.
But what a stone it is! It is a rock which our God turns into a pool, a flint that becomes a fountain.
If we seem to receive a stone when we pray today, let us rejoice, for we know the blessed secret of the rock and the flint.
