Whispers of His Power – MARCH 24
Exod. 32.31-32: And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if Thou wilt forgive their sin -; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of Thy book which Thou hast written.
The love in Moses’ words smites us. That is the way we must look on the sins and weaknesses of others, not condoning (Moses did not condone), but with eyes of uttermost love.
God’s word to Moses in verse 34 was Now go, lead the people. Don’t give them up as hopeless. God would deal with the sin; it would not be overlooked. But even so, Moses was not to despair of them. Instead, Now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee.
The Lord give to us all Moses’ love, Christ’s love, the love that loves the disappointing – not the lovables only, but the unlovables.
oooOOOooo
