Answering God – Day 12
Words are at the same time beautiful and ugly, creative and destructive and we must be careful how we use them. But how do we decided when to speak and when to be silent?
Words are at the same time beautiful and ugly, creative and destructive and we must be careful how we use them. But how do we decided when to speak and when to be silent?
All of us desire our times of worship to be deep and intimate times of fellowship with God and each other yet we easily allow ourselves to get in the way of our own prayer.
We try to hide the fact that we are all a little bit broken but God has a way of finding us out and then it is only in the Church that we can find healing.
When we are hurt it is natural to hide. However when we meet with the church we have a chance to be healed.
Too often we come to worship with an agenda pre-written and we rarely come prepared to empty ourselves of all the confusion within us that God may replace the evil within us for good.
Wherever and however we worship we must be careful to not miss meeting God – being good stewards of corporate silence is one way to help us listen better.
We should not be surprised to discover that the fingerprints of our Creator are seen in all of nature and science and art. Yet we are too often loathe to seek God outside of the familiarity of our own faith community
We have nothing to loose and much to gain when we choose to work alongside people of other faiths fro the common good
Too often we use our own light to extinguish that of another’s instead of choosing to use all light to help everyone on the journey homeward
To follow Jesus’ example of love in action requires more than wearing a wristband with a slogan on it
