Even when we feel we have failed, God writes Not in vain over everything we have tried to do in His Name.

Faith is trusting when nothing is explained. 

If our Lord does not despair of us, we must not despair of ourselves. 

He will not despair even of us – even of me.

‘Lord, this I wish to be, this I desire,
and what Thou seest wanting in me, do Thou,
I beseech Thee, vouchsafe to supply’

Is all holy in my heart?  Is all that issues forth in words and in deeds stamped with the hallmark of holiness?

It is very wonderful, and very comforting, to know that He who has so much to think of is actually thinking upon me.

To our Lord, rest was not self-pleasing ease.  To serve was His chosen rest.
What about us?

…our Saviour knew all that ever could be known, and He endured to the end.

Our waters are shallow because His were deep.
