A Song for Lent – Day 32 – Learning to Lick each Other Clean
When a wanderer returns a welcome and care is needed not rejection and condemnation.
When a wanderer returns a welcome and care is needed not rejection and condemnation.
When we surrender to the changes Love makes we discover it hurts, but it is worth the pain
People are often used and abused. Discovering that we are one family helps prevent this
When we give ourselves over to the ‘Electricity’ of God’s love we find a new freedom
Even in our grief we truly never walk alone as the Communion of the Saints holds us together
Our small ‘Tuppence’ of faith may feel like chicken-feed but used well can transform the world
Desire, wrongly placed, turns the ‘Bare Necessities of Life’ into wormwood and empties our hearts in a fruitless quest for the unattainable.
Tradition gives us a place from which to grow but it may also trap us in the past
God comes to us with ‘Love and Redemption’ and not ‘Crime and Punishment’. Learning this sets us free from sin and for joyful service.
It is tempting to strike out on our own on the journey home and leave the Church to its ow mess. But we never find out who we are without other Christians holding up a mirror to our soul
