Because faith is such a personal and intimate experience and we cherish our own ways of worship it is all to easy to belittle the worship of others. We are required to be humble and diligent in prayer rather than ‘holier than thou’
Some days, if we listen closely and are still enough, we will know the deep truth that God is always with us and alongside us

The one about..
If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill’, and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?
Every so often a hymn comes along that says ‘Yes!’ to all your questions about faith and the ‘whichness of the why’. This is mine.
Some of us have a ‘Damascus Road Experience” when we can point to a particular time of ‘Conversion’. Others have been nurtured in the faith from the cradle and have always known themselves held by God. All of us need to look for daily moments of turning away from ourselves and towards God
We do not hold the anchor; the anchor holds on to us!
Sometimes the very first thing you learn about something is the one thing that lasts forever. For me the journey of faith begun and continues in a joy that uses the time of Lent to help us celebrate Easter
