Life would be much easier if we could pick and choose who we are called to care for, to forgive, and to cherish. Following in Christ’s footsteps demands that we even forgive and save those whom we don’t like and who dislike us.
We cannot become ourselves by ourself. We all need community to be a mirror for However, if we make it difficult for that community to be open to all sorts of people it become as an echo chamber which stunts our growth.
In a time of distress and worry for all the message of freedom from the fear of death and a decision to ‘choose love’ must become the heartbeat of our lives
Some Church meetings require us to listen more deeply (and for longer) than others. Not everyone will find themselves called to sit on Synods and Assemblies but all of use have a responsibility to understand their business and pray for their work
