Whispers of His Power – JUNE 18

Acts 18.9-10:  Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:  for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee:  for I have much people in this city.

I would commend the reader to the gentle love of God, wrote Jacob Boehme.  Acts 18.9, 10 shows the Lord’s gentle love’ in meeting us just where we are, and saying the one word we most need.  Paul, dreading a repetition of the many stripes (perhaps the wounds were not quite healed), is comforted by a promise that he will not be hurt.  And be not afraid – carry on – for I am with you.

It is worth while to watch for these special private words.  They come in all sorts of unexpected ways.
