Character and Conduct – 2 November – Aspiration
IF a man constantly aspires, is he not elevated?
IF a man constantly aspires, is he not elevated?
DISAPPOINTMENT should always be taken as a stimulant, and never viewed as a discouragement.
We should forget our successes if they cause pride or preoccupy the mind.
If we are not improving we are losing ground.
What’s good store up for Joy, the bad, well scann’d, wash off with tears, and get thy Master’s hand.
TO-DAY is a king in disguise: let us unmask the king as he passes.
To-morrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
When we cry out to God and God replies by using our name our healing begins. But will we continue to follow along the way?
The alternative is not between good habit or no habit, but between good habit and bad.
OUT of difficulties grow miracles.
