Being and Doing – 21 November – Prayer
The fragrance of our actions is greater before God when they are done in a state of spiritual dryness.
The fragrance of our actions is greater before God when they are done in a state of spiritual dryness.
WHERE you cannot pray as you would, pray as you can.
Prayer, continually lived in, makes the Presence of a holy and loving God the air which life breathes.
Our wounded Lord calls us to tend the wounds of others and we cannot, we dare not, betray them for the sake of Him who was betrayed by His own followers.
all honest work is worship,
And to labour is to pray.
Love for our fellow-creatures is a constant prayer.
THY intention should be to unite thy will to the Will of God, and not to draw God’s Will to thine.
IMPORTUNITY is the essence of successful prayer…
BE not afraid to pray – to pray is right.
Pray, if thou canst, with hope; but ever pray,
Though hope be weak, or sick with long delay :
Pray in the darkness, if there be no light.
PRAYER has the power of sanctifying life, because it brings God into life.
