Whispers of His Power – APRIL 14

Whispers of His Power – APRIL 14

Matt. 23.39:  Ye shall not see Me henceforth, till ye shall say,  Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The joyful entry into Jerusalem lay behind when our Lord spoke these words.  He quoted from Psalm 118, which is a song of the Passion and the Glory which should follow.  We have the rejection of our beloved Saviour in this Psalm, and the triumph of evil, and then the glorious triumph of righteousness when He will be hailed as the Blessed One indeed.

Evil seems at present to be terrifically strong, and it seems to be triumphing everywhere.  But it is on its way to its end.  Good, not evil, will triumph.  The gates of righteousness will open and the Righteous shall enter in.  The Stone which the builders rejected will become the head stone of the corner, and His people shall say, This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Ps. 118.23, 24).

But only those who have bound their sacrifice to the horns of the altar (v. 27) can be used to hasten the coming of that day.

Let us go afresh today unto the altar of God, unto God our exceeding joy (Ps. 43.4).  Whatever our sacrifice may be (perhaps He only knows what it is) let us offer in His tabernacle that sacrifice of joy and sing.  Yea, I will sing praises unto the LordoooOOOooo
