Whispers of His Power – MAY 13

1 Pet. 5.7:  Casting all your care upon Him;  for He careth for you.

An old woman was walking along the road very wearily, carrying a big bundle, and a friendly carter gave her a lift.  Presently he turned round and saw that she was still holding her bundle in her arms, instead of putting it down in the cart.  When he asked her why she did so foolish a thing, she replied:  ‘It is asking too much of you, to carry my bundle as well as me.’

You know and laugh at that story, but did you ever do just the same yourself?  Are you a little bit anxious about the test of the difficult?  Do you ever wonder how you are going to win through?

Next time that thought comes, remember the old woman and her bundle.  He who carries you, carries your-bundle too.  Casting all your care upon Him;  for He careth for you, does not mean ‘Cast all your other burdens, but be sure to carry this particular one yourself.  All means all.

oooOOOooo
