Whispers of His Power – MAY 14

Whispers of His Power – MAY 14

Ps. 78.53:  And He led them on safely, so that they feared not.

Ps. 78.72:  So He… guided them by the skilfulness of His hands.

‘And He guided them with hope’; this is the LXX reading.  The God of Hope guided with hope.  ‘And guided them by the skilfulness of His hands’; Rotherham translates it ‘the discernment’.  He adds a note: ‘A beautiful expression.  How much all manual workers need to put their discernment into their hands.’

He will lead us on safely through the working hours of this new day with its new experiences of discipline and perhaps sorrow and disappointment.  There will be experiences of joy, too, for we follow the Lord of Joy.  He will not lose hope about us.  He will guide us with hope, and with the discernment of His hands.

So there is no room for fear.

oooOOOooo
