Whispers of His Power – MAY 16

Whispers of His Power – MAY 16

Ps. 18.2:  The Lord is my Rock, and my Fortress, and my Deliverer;  my God, my strength, in whom I will trust.

Isa.54.10:  For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed;  but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; sometimes we forget that we have been told it will be so.  BUT My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee (Isa. 54.10).

Has His kindness ever departed from us?  Has the covenant of His peace been broken?  No, never for an hour.  Solomon said, There hath not failed one word of all His good promise (1 Kings 8.56).  We can say it too. Not one thing hath failed of all the good things which He spake concerning us; all are come to pass unto us, and not one thing hath failed thereof (Josh. 23.14).

Is it not then sheer treason to fear anything of any sort?  ‘Nothing can come wrong to my Lord in His sweet working?  He takes away our mountains and hills, on whose strength we relied, so that He may the more become the Rock of our heart and our Fortress for ever.

oooOOOooo
