Whispers of His Power – JULY 19

Whispers of His Power – JULY 19

Ps. 119.128;  I hate every false way.

Ps. 119.163:  I hate and abhor lying.

We must be alert to notice the beginnings of loose thinking about Truth.  Suppose a question is asked, ‘Did such and such a thing happen? and the one who is questioned is not sure but thinks it did, to reply ‘Yes’ is to tell a lie.  To say ‘I don’t know’ may show carelessness where care was expected, but it is truth, and truth is golden.

‘She gave to everybody an immediate sense of truth such as we have when a sum comes right.’  May that be a true description of each one of us.  But if anyone feels, ‘That cannot be said of me’, here is a word of hope.  In Luke 13.11-13 we read of the woman who had been crooked for eighteen years, but when the Lord laid His hands on her immediately she was made straight.  He who straightened that crooked body can straighten the crooked soul of anyone who wants to have it done.  Then that one will find a horror of every false way growing stronger every day, till he or she can honestly say, I hate every false way.  I hate and abhor lying;  but Thy law do I love.

oooOOOooo
