Whispers of His Power – JANUARY 23
Tell them what has been done for you, not long ago, but perhaps an hour or two ago, or yesterday, or last week.
Tell them what has been done for you, not long ago, but perhaps an hour or two ago, or yesterday, or last week.
His eyes were not fixed on the sad interruption to fellowship and joy, but on the hour when Peter would be back in love again, never again to grieve his Lord like that.
Love, the truest, deepest kind of love, gives and goes on giving
Let us refuse to listen to the ‘I’ that clamours within us as we set another before ourself.
If we come to our fixed times of prayer late or unprepared we lose something that cannot be recovered.
Even a disaster to the flesh only gives the spirit an opportunity to prove the promises of God….
It does not matter to where we have wandered – God seeks us out.
It does not matter how much we have failed – God smiles on us.
It does not matter how much we feel unworthy – God is well pleased with us.
It does not matter who we are, God calls us by name today and says, ‘Come and see.’
We have for light the presence and the promises of God. There may be someone whom we are trying to help; we are trying to bring out of the dark mine of that personality precious jewels for our Lord.
Let us settle down in peace as a bird settles down in its nest, not wanting any other nest, not wondering why the wind blows our tree so fiercely sometimes, or why the sky is sometimes dark and the rain falls heavily.
Is it not utterly wonderful? He finds pleasure in loving us.
