Our Lord is always asking the impossible of us.  He is always trusting us to rise to it.  And best of all, He is always standing alongside to make the impossible possible. 

…to be forgiven is to be strengthened

Our little, constant communications of love give real joy to our Father’s heart.

A murmuring spirit is like a fretting leprosy.  It can only end in destruction.

‘Put to death your earthward inclinations’

Babes in Christ are nursed, not crucified.  They have certain liberties – Thou walkest whither thou wouldest.  But when they grow up into spiritual manhood all that is changed.  

 We cannot give them what we have not got ourselves. 

‘No greater testimony of our love to Christ can be, than to feed carefully and faithfully His lambs.’ 

When we by His grace pass through whatever trial or difficulty faces us now, we shall find this word waiting to refresh us again.

We are called to serve with a willing mind just where we are, and just as things are.
