Whispers of His Power – APRIL 18
Phil. 2.5-7 (RV): Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who… emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant.
1 Pet. 4.1 (RV): Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: here the thought is selflessness. Arm yourselves also with the same mind: here the thought is willingness for suffering.
Do you seem unable to do much? Are you tempted to feel you are of no use at all? The only thing that can hinder a life from telling for Him is the mind that puts self in the centre, and the mind that refuses suffering.
Lord Jesus, give us the mind that was in Thee.
