Whispers of His Power – APRIL 19

Whispers of His Power – APRIL 19

Rom. 8.37:  In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

These words are written of a General’s duties, but the same duties are ours if we are given younger ones to help:  ‘He should constantly impress on the minds of his officers and men the thought that the battle will not be lost because it must not be lost.  Thus weakness is stayed, and all retreat cut off.  The only open path leads forward to victory.’

It is true for us all.  The only open path, the only path we must ever for one moment contemplate, leads forward to victory.  Before a battle is lost on the field it is lost in the mind.  If the Lord our Captain is in His rightful place there, we shall not think of defeat as among the possibilities of life.

God give us the soldier spirit, the spirit that thirsts to be more than conqueror.

oooOOOooo
